1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account and using Stream, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Description of Service
Stream provides AI-powered speech transcription and summarization services. The service includes real-time automatic speech recognition (ASR), audio file upload and processing, and AI-generated summaries of transcribed content.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. You may permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time through the app's Settings.
4. User Content
You retain ownership of all audio recordings and content you upload to Stream. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing transcription and summarization services.
5. Privacy and Data Collection
We collect the following personal data to provide the Service: account information (username, display name, hashed password), audio recordings you submit for transcription, text transcripts generated from your audio, AI-generated summaries, and user preferences such as language settings and custom ASR configurations.
6. Third-Party Data Sharing
ASR (Speech-to-Text Transcription): Your audio recordings (real-time streams and uploaded files) are sent to Soniox, Inc. (soniox.com) for automatic speech recognition. Audio is transmitted over encrypted connections. Refer to Privacy Policy at soniox.com/privacy for details on their data handling practices.
AI Summarization: Your transcript text is processed by our own private, access-controlled AI infrastructure to generate summaries. This data is not sent to any external third-party service. Our AI servers are hosted on private infrastructure with restricted network access, and transcript data is not retained after summary generation.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share your data with any parties other than those described above.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time, which permanently removes all your data including account information, audio recordings, transcripts, memos, summaries, templates, and configurations. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Stream for any unlawful purpose, to upload content that infringes on the rights of others, or to attempt to interfere with the proper functioning of the service.
9. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time with reasonable notice.
10. Limitation of Liability
Stream is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to inaccuracies in transcription or summarization.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
